Last week I got an email telling me that folks on the list could buy prerelease Chumbys (Chumbies?), so I couldn't resist.
So I now got a Chumby on my desk. I got the Latte color one because it looks classy and I, unlike the iPod people, am not repulsed by brown. Here's a cute applet showing off what my Chumby's up to right now.

Now to write something for it. Obvious candidates. . .
1. Daily Puzzle "How well you did" widget.
2. Pong Clock (gotta bring that thing back).
3. Something involving the dancing ducky.
I'm not sure I'd get enough use out of it to pay the price they want, although I could definitely see it replacing my terrible clock radio.
