It's the best and most-popular journal on gamedev, and it's seven years old! Here's what's happened so far.

  • Had breakfast at Waffle House with wife after dropping off rugrat at Kinder-Care
  • Noticed that gamedev.net was down
  • Wrote a review for a bad book
  • Got on #gamedev so that regulars could abuse me for not bringing up gamedev personally
  • gamedev came beck up
  • Noticed that book is not yet listed, so I'm holding on to it until book appears
Let the good times roll!

Which book, John? I'm going to add some today, so I'll be sure to include it.

Congratulations John. I've just started reading over your journal from the start March 98. It's interesting to see the evolution. Best of luck to you and your family on this happiest of days. *party whistles and pops, etc*

I really wish I could go through and kill useless entries. I know there's some good stuff in there, but you've gotta wade through dozens of "here's what I'm selling on ebay this week" posts to get there.

I need an editor, goldurnit!

Congrats John... I like the E-Bay posts, they keep an edge to the journal. I don't think anyone else on GameDev has a journal entry post about E-Bay.
