The more I reads, the behinder I gets

I just finished The Ayn Rand Cult by Jeff Walker that I read for a review. I'm currently reading Game Interface Design for a gamedev review. I'm about 2/3 of the way through an e-book of Asimov's Fantastic Voyage 2: Destination Brain that I read on my PDA while Maggie's at swim-lessons. I'm about 2/3 of the way through Crick's The Astonishing Hypothesis for a book-study group. And I started Candide by Voltaire last night.

And my book queue never gets smaller. I finish at least one book a week and sell books a dozen at a time on ebay, and the queue never gets smaller.

There are a finite number of books in the universe, and I will have a finite lifespan. The only question now is which finite-ness will win out first.

My bet's on the books. I'll be a forgotten echo in the cosmos before the books run out.

Candide is pretty good, though. Voltaire's sense of humor is pretty compatible with mine.

That's about 1/3 more than I every got through an Asimov book. You should adapt reincarnation into your finite paradigm, then you'll surly be able to read them all given that you are able to return within a reasonable time period and that the books survive the apocalypse.
