Around 10 am, though, the phone rang, and the caller ID read "Clariden School". Instantly a hundred scenarios ran through my head.
- Maggie immediately sat down all of her classmates, declared herself queen, and demanded that everyone do her bidding.
- Maggie stripped off her clothes and locked herself in the bathroom.
- Please pick up Maggie, as she's bitten six kids.
- [insert your own nightmare scenario here]
Turns out, though, that it's just school policy to call all of the parents on the first day and give 'em an update on how the kids are doing. According to her teacher, Miss Maggie spent the first day showing off her knowledge of farm animals followed by figuring out what objects are heavier by using the balance-scale.
