First off, I ended up giving away three ponies, although only one pony-recipient has thus-far entered all his books. Still, thanks. I've as-yet not chosen my books yet. I think my favorite summer read was "Day of the Triffids" by Wyndham, so I was thinking of getting another one of his.

BTW, if you ever saw the Triffids movie, read the book anyway. The ending is WAY different.

As for the games, I'm still doing the dual-purpose migration of replacing my hosting as well as well as replacing my communication-layer with the games. I just got BaffleBees working with SWX, mainly because it comes first alphabetically. Getting the rest of 'em working after that will mainly be a matter of cut-n-paste. SWX gives me a better mechanism of handling faults and timeouts, so hopefully you'll never get a situation where your score didn't get submitted and you got an endlessly-cycling spinner. It was rare, but it did happen a few times.

So the current list is:

1. Get the rest of the games running with SWX
2. Finish making the site more portable - remove hardcoded references to thecodezone.com and quit hardcoding all the database stuff
3. Make the mail and twitter code more spam-bot friendly by building an email queue so a CRON job can send out the emails & twitters on a schedule (i.e. five emails every ten minutes or so)
4. Daily Puzzle number 12
5. Move thecodezone.com over to the new hosting

The SWX guy is holding a contest to come up with something cool with SWX. Unfortunately he wants all submissions to be open-source, and I ain't in that position. I could probably come up with a public gateway for people to grab daily puzzle high scores, thus making it really easy to build a Code Zone High Score Widget, but I don't know if that'll have a wide enough audience.

Might be cool to make a downloadable widget (HTML and SWF) that'll show your previous day's high scores. If anything, it'll be an excuse to pimp The Code Zone in places like Google Gadgets, Microsoft Sidebar, Chumby, and other gadget sites.
